A: Yes! Mermaids are simply people with water in their auras and energy fields. Anyone can develop this element with time and practice.
Q: I want to learn more about mermaids… where do I start?
A: That was the same question I had when I was young…. which is why I wrote a mermaid book! You can go to my Author link above to purchase How to Become a Mermaid. Another fabulous resource for research on mermaids is William Mistele’s website. William is a spiritual anthropologist who has studied incarnated mermaids like me for several decades.
Q: I want to get involved! How can I practically integrate mermaid consciousness into my daily life?
A: The sky is the limit here! Spending a lot of time in water, playing in mermaid tails, and being a home-aquarium enthusiast (if it interests you) are great places to start! All mermaids care deeply for the environment, and there is never a shortage of cleanup and restoration projects that need help to be completed. You can click on the Projects link above to see what The Sedona Mermaid is focusing on, or you can find an environmental cause that is published elsewhere and join that! We need all hands on deck, and anything you can contribute will make a big difference.
Q: I believe in astral mermaids, or mermaids that aren’t in human form on earth, and I want to talk to them! How do I do that?
A: You can connect with the mermaid realm in a variety of ways, and it really just depends on how you receive messages! Spending time meditating in water and “reaching out” to the mermaid kingdom to let them know you want to chat is a great start! Some people might be clairvoyant and see something, others might be clairaudient and hear things, and others may channel messages through their art! We all have different ways of communicating and the merfolk are quite capable of working with our versatility. Just show up with your intention and invite the water elementals to speak to you. There are other water elementals besides mermaids, and one of them could show up to engage with you too!
Q: I am not able to swim or have some limitations to this activity. Can I still be a mermaid and connect with the water elementals?
A: Absolutely! We can all connect with the water element regardless of any physical limitations we may have. For example, I am an artistic swimmer, but am definitely not a strong swimmer (I almost drowned in the wave tank at Water Country USA when I was a child). It doesn’t make me any less of a mermaid. Mermaids on earth are not defined by physical ability… it is just about cultivating the water element in yourself and loving the experience!
Q: I don’t live near the ocean. Will this limit my ability to connect to mermaids?
A: Thankfully, no. Mermaids are present where any kind of water exists. So they are connected to puddles, lakes, pools, rivers, streams, estuaries, oceans, our tears, and any other water source you can call to memory. A lot of people like connecting with them in their bathtubs. I live in in the High Sonoran Desert in Sedona, Arizona. We have many waterways here, but hardly an ocean. I feel just as connected to the mermaid realm in Sedona as I did growing up 3 miles from the oceanfront in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The vibration of mermaids is always accessible, no matter where we are!
